Florida Building Inspectors, like other workers upon whom the public depends for impartial assessments, are subject to certain ethical mandates that prohibit conflict between public duty and private interests. This 1-hour interactive online course covers the chapters that apply to building inspectors based upon the Florida Commission on Ethics’ “Code of Ethics for Public Officers and Employees,” Chapter 112, Part III, F.S., and Chapter 468, Part XII, F.S. The course also takes a look at ethical issues that may arise “on the job,” and gives the guidelines many inspectors use to uphold their own reputations and that of their profession.
