This course is an introduction to ANSI/ASHRAE 90.1-2016 – Energy Standard for
Buildings Except Low-Rise Residential Buildings,
the building industry’s standard for defining the steps that must be taken to
meet and demonstrate minimum energy efficiency in the built environment. The Standard is one of many developed and
maintained by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and
Air-Conditioning Engineers, better known as ASHRAE. The intent of this course is to introduce you
to the Standard, its origins, its purpose and its application. This course is intended for engineers of
building HVAC systems, architects, building code officials, HVAC equipment
manufacturers and building managers and owners.
