Chapter 5 of the 2017 National Electrical Code (NEC) contains requirements for special occupancies. Notable changes include the relocation of fourteen definitions to Article 100, a surprising new allowance for wiring methods in Class I locations, underground wiring changes for commercial garages and fuel dispensing locations, and new fuel storage classification requirements.
