X RedVector Launches 2017 NEC Training to Inform Professionals of New and Revised Electrical Standards
Release date: 5/17/2017
With the 2017 NFPA 70®: National Electrical Code (NEC) containing 100s of pieces of new guidance for designers, engineers, contractors, electricians and AHJs, RedVector launches NEC courses to help professionals get up to speed
Tampa — May 4, 2017 — RedVector, the leader in eLearning and performance support solutions for the architecture, engineering, construction (AEC), industrial and facility management industries, has released 2017 NEC training to help professionals in the electrical design, installation and maintenance fields understand noteworthy electrical code changes more quickly and easily.
First published in the late 1800s by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), The NEC is now updated every three years in order to set standards for the safe installation of electrical wiring and equipment. NEC is not itself a U.S. law but it’s frequently mandated by state or local governing bodies.
RedVector National Electrical Code training covers five new 2017 articles, some of which reflect the substantial growth in renewable power technology (Energy Storage Systems, Direct Current Microgrids, etc.). New and revised requirements for equipment installation, labeling, certification and working space are also discussed.
“In our training courses, our team of experts interpret and explain the most significant changes made to the NEC, rather than simply recite the new code,” said RedVector Product Director Bobby Person. “This makes it easier and quicker for our customers to get up to speed. When employees don’t understand the NEC, problems can escalate from a failed inspection to a major liability that puts lives and property at risk.”
