This course provides laboratory participants with basic information about the responsibilities and duties of a lab technician. After completing this course, participants should be able to describe, in general terms, what lab technicians do and how they perform various functions. The course also covers safety hazards related to lab work and explains how lab technicians are protected from them. In addition, the course introduces the use of quality control in laboratories and shows how quality control affects lab operations.
